Myler Bits Eggbutt with Hooks MB06
The Myler Bits Eggbutt with Hooks MB06 has a wide low port for your horse's comfort. The low port gives room for your horse's tongue and allows him to swallow comfortably. This bit primarily puts pressure on the bars and lips, but gives you the option of attaching the bridle and reins to the slots or "hooks."
The center barrel applies tongue pressure comfortably
The Eggbutt snaffle is a rounded ring with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece and slots at the top and bottom of the ring for bridle and rein attachment. There is also a small hole behind the top slot for a curb chain.
This snaffle is used for both English and Western riding. It has a direct rein action when the rein hook is not used. It has indirect rein action when the rein is fixed on the rein hook. There is little to no leverage when the hooks are used.

Myler Bits Level Two - Three
Stainless Steel Eggbutt with Hooks with Stainless Steel Mullen Barrel Low Port (MB 06, Level 2-3) Copper Inlay Mouth 5".
The MB06 is the Myler alternative to the traditional mullen mouthpiece. It has a wider low port that allows the tongue to pass under the bit with comfort. The port is just high enough to allow the tongue to elevate and swallow, but not high enough for palate pressure. The lower port does restrict the tongue more than other level 2-3 Myler mouthpieces. When the reins are engaged, the 06 applies pressure primarily to the bars and lips. This mouthpiece has Independent Side Movement.
The addition of hooks to the cheek offers more versatility. Attaching the headstall to the top hook holds the bit in position instead of allowing it to slide around the bridle cheeks. Attaching the reins to the rein hooks allows the rider to lift the cheek.
A curb chain or strap is recommended for ported mouthpieces.
