Myler Bits Eggbutt with Hooks MB04
The Myler Bits Eggbutt with Hooks MB04 is a versatile bit with several features. The low port allows the horse to swallow more easily to encourage relaxation while moving forward. The slots or "hooks" give you the option of attaching the rein and bridle in a fixed position giving the rein action more force. The slot at the top is for the bridle and bottom slot of the ring is for the rein. There is also a small hole behind the top slot for a curb chain.
This snaffle is used for both English and western riding. It has a direct rein action when the rein hook is not used. It has indirect rein action when the rein is fixed on the rein hook. There is little to no leverage when the hooks are used.
Myler Bit Level 2
Stainless Steel Eggbutt with Hooks with Stainless Steel Low Port Comfort Snaffle (MB 04, Level 2) Copper Inlay Mouth.
The Level 2 MB04 mouthpiece will rotate on the tongue and apply tongue pressure; however it has a slight port that allows the horse to swallow when he is moving forward and relaxed.
The barrel distributes the pressure kindly on the tongue. The MB04 provides an excellent transition from level one to level two.
The addition of hooks to the cheek offers more versatility. Attaching the headstall to the top hook holds the bit in position instead of allowing it to slide around the bridle cheeks. Attaching the reins to the rein hooks allows the rider to lift the cheek.
