MYLER BIT LOOSE RING SNAFFLE MB01
Myler Bit Loose Ring Snaffle MB01 has a curved mouthpiece that is more comfortable than a traditional loose ring snaffle and does not pinch. A simple "O" ring where both the bridle and the mouthpiece have no fixed point of attachment but slide freely around the ring. The loose ring allows a lot of play as the mouthpiece slides freely around the ring.
Direct rein action. English or Western disciplines.
The loose ring is generally considered one of the most non-interfering cheekpieces. The ring continually vibrates as it can move and react to a small touch with the rein. This vibration can be encouraging to the horse to stay soft in the mouth and give to the rein pressure.
Myler Bit Level 1
Stainless Steel Loose Ring with Stainless Steel Comfort Snaffle Barrel (MB 01, Level 1) Copper Inlay Mouth.
Also available - polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation.
The MB 01 mouthpiece is the Myler alternative to the traditional three-piece mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits.
When the reins are engaged the MB01 will rotate fully on to the tongue in order to apply the necessary tongue pressure to teach a horse to give to the bit or break at the poll.
The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue.
The curve makes more room for the tongue under the bit. The barrel distributes the pressure kindly on the tongue and creates Independent Side Movement.Similar to the MB02 but the center barrel of the 01 is narrower than the 02, concentrating pressure on the tongue more.
The Myler Level One horse could:
Be young and inexperienced
Just be beginning training
Be riding in a discipline that restricts bits to snaffle with jointed mouthpiece
