MYLER BITS FULL CHEEK WITH HOOKS MB03
Myler Bits Full Cheek with Hooks MB03 has a copper roller in the center barrel that can calm a fidgety horse. It has a rounded ring with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece and a post that extends equidistant above and below the mouthpiece. Posts are slightly angled away from the cheek to prevent rubbing. Ring has a slot (hook) at the bottom for attachment of the reins. There is no hook for curb chain or strap.
It is a direct action when rein hook is not used. Indirect rein action when rein is fixed on the rein hook.
This is a traditional cheek style designed to be used with bit keepers. (sold separately) to hold the bit in the correct position. When used without bit keepers, the bit will sit in the mouth similarly to a dee or eggbutt without hooks.
Primarily English with bit keepers. Commonly used in Western without bit keepers.

Stainless Steel Full Cheek with Hooks with Stainless Steel Comfort Snaffle with Copper Roller (MB 03, Level 1) Copper Inlay Mouth.
The Comfort Snaffle with Copper Roller mouthpiece is the Myler alternative to the traditional three-piece mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits.
When the reins are engaged the MB03 will rotate fully on to the tongue in order to apply the necessary tongue pressure to teach a horse to give to the bit or break at the poll.
The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue.
The curve makes more room for the tongue under the bit.
The barrel distributes the pressure kindly on the tongue. The Copper Roller on the center barrel can comfort horses that are restless or nervous.
The Myler Level One horse would:
Be young and inexperienced
Be just beginning training
Be riding in a discipline that restricts bits to snaffle with jointed mouthpiece
