Myler Bits English Dee with Hooks MB32-3 The Myler Bits English Dee with Hooks MB32-3 has three rollers that can add comfort for your horse. The rollers allow the tongue to move and swallow and can be a calming influence on your horse. It is flexible on your horse's tongue. It is a D shaped ring with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece and slots "hooks" at the top and bottom of the ring for the bridle and rein attachment. When the rein hook is used it is an indirect action bit. If the rein hook is not used it is direct action. You choose where to attach the bridle and reins.
Attaching the headstall to the top hook holds the bit in the correct position instead of allowing it to slide around the bridle cheeks. Attaching the reins to the hooks allows the rider to lift the cheek and use the Independent Side Movement of the mouthpiece. Using hooks does not add leverage. There is a small hole behind the top slot for a curb chain.

Myler Bit Level 2
Stainless Steel 3 3/4" Dee with Hooks with Stainless Steel Mullen Triple Barrel (MB 32-3, Level 2) Copper Inlay.
The MB32-3 is the Myler alternative to a traditional mullen mouthpiece. The three barrels turn the typical solid bar into a flexible bar which allows the horse to elevate his tongue and swallow more easily under the bit. When the reins are engaged the 32-3 becomes a solid bar but with an exaggerated curve. This curve applies pressure across the entire surface of the tongue. The flexibility makes it forgiving and comforting when relaxed but offers the rider control when engaged.
