MYLER BITS HBT SHANK MB33
The Myler Bits HBT Shank MB33 has a generous wide port that allows plenty of room for the horse's tongue, making it easy to swallow. It works primarily off the lips, bars, chin and poll. It is made of a length of round metal slightly curved back, with a flat-top purchase and a rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment. The entire shank moves independently of the mouthpiece. The purchase is slightly angled away from the horse to avoid rubbing.
It is used in Western riding and has an indirect action which is designed to be used with a curb strap or chain.
The HBT is well suited to trail riding as the shorter shank makes grazing easier.
Myler Bit Level 3
Stainless Steel 5" HBT Shank with Sweet Iron Ported Barrel (MB 33, Level 3) Copper Inlay Mouth.
This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation.
The Myler MB33 mouthpiece is the mildest in terms of tongue pressure. The generously wide port allows room for the tongue to pass under the bit so the horse can swallow easily. This mouthpiece works primarily off the bars, lips, chin and poll. There is little to no palate pressure. The MB33 has Independent Side Movement.
