Myler Bits Western Dee MB09
The Myler Bits Western Dee MB09 is a single jointed snaffle, but curved shape is more comfortable for your horse. It is an improved version of traditional single jointed snaffle. It is a 3" circular ring with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece. It has a direct rein action and is used in primarily Western riding disciplines. This cheek style provides a more direct signal than the loose ring. The straight side of the ring will not pull through the mouth and does not pinch.
The curve shape gives tongue more room. Horse can swallow, relax, and move forward.
Myler Bit Level 2
Size - 5"
Stainless Steel Western Dee with Sweet Iron Snaffle (MB 09, Level 1) Copper Inlay Mouth.
This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation.
The Myler MB09 mouthpiece is a more comfortable version of the traditional single-jointed mouthpiece. Although it lacks the benefits of a "true" Myler mouthpiece, it has the distinctive curve so the bars of the bit wrap the horse's tongue under the bit.
The Myler Level One horse would:
Be young and inexperienced
Be just beginning training
Be riding in a discipline that restricts bits to snaffle with jointed mouthpiece
