Myler Bits Loose Ring Snaffle with Sleeve MB02
Myler Bits Loose Ring With Sleeve MB02 is a simple "O" ring where both the bridle and the mouthpiece have no fixed point of attachment but attaches to the ring with a sleeve. The sleeve keeps the bit from pulling through the sides of the mouth. When the reins are engaged, the sleeve locks on the ring creating a slightly more fixed mouthpiece.
The loose ring is generally considered one of the most non-interfering cheekpieces.
Direct rein action. English or Western disciplines. Approved for Dressage competitions.
Myler Bit Level 1
Size - 5"
Stainless Steel "C" Sleeve Ring with Sweet Iron Comfort Snaffle Wide Barrel (MB 02, Level 1) Copper Inlay Mouth.
This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation.
The MB 02 mouthpiece is the Myler alternative to the traditional three-piece mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits.
When the reins are engaged the MB02 will rotate fully on to the tongue in order to apply the necessary tongue pressure to teach a horse to give to the bit or break at the poll.
The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue.
The curve makes more room for the tongue under the bit. The barrel distributes the pressure kindly on the tongue.
The Myler Level One horse would:
Be young and inexperienced
Be just beginning training
Be riding in a discipline that restricts bits to snaffle with jointed mouthpiece
