Myler Bits Western Dee With Dots MB02
The Myler Bits Western Dee With Dots MB02 is an improvement over the traditional snaffle with the center barrel and curved mouthpiece. It is a 3" circular ring of black metal. Mouthpiece attaches to the cheek with a decorative "stack". The ring is decorated with stainless steel dots. It has a direct rein action and is used in western riding disciplines. This cheek style provides a more direct signal than the loose ring. The straight side of the ring will not pull through the mouth and does not pinch.
It's a great bit for starting young horses. The curve shape gives tongue more room. Horse can swallow, relax, and move forward.
Myler Bit Level 1
Size - 5"
Black Steel Western dee with Stainless Steel dots, Sweet Iron Comfort Snaffle Wide Barrel (MB 02, Level 1) Copper Inlay Mouth.
This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation.
The MB 02 mouthpiece is the Myler alternative to the traditional three-piece mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits.
When the reins are engaged the MB02 will rotate fully on to the tongue in order to apply the necessary tongue pressure to teach a horse to give to the bit or break at the poll.
The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue.
The curve makes more room for the tongue under the bit.
The barrel distributes the pressure kindly on the tongue.
The Myler Level One horse would:
Be young and inexperienced
Be just beginning training
Be riding in a discipline that restricts bits to snaffle with jointed mouthpiece
