Myler Bits Loose Ring Snaffle MB02
Myler Bits Loose Ring Snaffle MB02 has a curved shaped mouthpiece that allows room for your horse's tongue and to swallow. A simple "O" ring where both the bridle and the mouthpiece have no fixed point of attachment but slide freely around the ring. The loose ring allows a lot of play as the mouthpiece slides freely around the ring.
Direct rein action. English or Western disciplines. USEF Approved for Dressage competitions.
The loose ring is generally considered one of the most non-interfering cheekpieces. The ring continually vibrates as it can move and react to a small touch with the rein. This vibration can be encouraging to the horse to stay soft in the mouth and give to the rein pressure.
Myler Bit Level 1
Stainless Steel Loose Ring with Stainless Steel Comfort Snaffle Wide Barrel (MB 02, Level 1) Copper Inlay Mouth.
Also available - polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation. The MB 02 mouthpiece is the Myler alternative to the traditional three-piece mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits.
When the reins are engaged the MB02 will rotate fully on to the tongue in order to apply the necessary tongue pressure to teach a horse to give to the bit or break at the poll.
The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue.
The curve makes more room for the tongue under the bit.
The barrel distributes the pressure kindly on the tongue.
The Myler Level One horse would:
Be young and inexperienced
Be just beginning training
Be riding in a discipline that restricts bits to snaffle with jointed mouthpiece
