Myler Bits Eggbutt MB02
The Myler Bits Eggbutt MB02 is a traditional cheek style that provides a more direct signal than the loose ring. The curved mouthpiece provides more room for your horse's tongue. The center bushing piece is an improvement over the traditional single jointed snaffle that collapses to a V shape and can pinch the tongue. The straight side of the Eggbutt will not pull through the mouth and does not pinch.
The Eggbutt is a rounded ring with fixed attachment of the mouthpiece. It is used in both English and Western disciplines. It has a direct rein action.
USDF Dressage approved - Myler Bit Level 1
Stainless Steel Eggbutt without Hooks with Stainless Steel Comfort Snaffle Wide Barrel (MB 02, Level 1) Copper Inlay Mouth.
The MB 02 mouthpiece is the Myler alternative to the traditional three-piece mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits. When the reins are engaged the MB02 will rotate fully on to the tongue in order to apply the necessary tongue pressure to teach a horse to give to the bit or break at the poll.
The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue.
The curve makes more room for the tongue under the bit.
The barrel distributes the pressure kindly on the tongue.
The Myler Level One horse would:
Be young and inexperienced
Be just beginning training
Be riding in a discipline that restricts bits to snaffle with jointed mouthpiece
