Myler Bits Black 7 Shank MB04 The Myler Bits Black 7 Shank MB04 is one of the handsome western bits made by Myler with 7" black shanks and steel dots for decoration with indirect rein action. It is useful on a wide range of horses and is considered a mild to moderate, level two bit. The 1/4" port is a good introduction to tongue relief.
The center barrel distributes pressure evenly and allows the bit to have independent side movement. Each shank moves independently of the other to encourage lateral flexion on each side. The 1/4" port provides tongue relief. Suitable for a wide range of horse.

Black Steel 7" Seven Shank with Sweet Iron Low Port Comfort Snaffle (MB 04, Level 2) Copper Inlay. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation.
The level 2 MB04 mouthpiece will rotate on the tongue and apply tongue pressure; however it has a slight port that allows the horse to swallow when he is moving forward and relaxed. The barrel distributes the pressure kindly on the tongue. The MB04 provides an excellent transition from level one to level two.
The seven shank cheek piece has a mild to moderate degree of leverage. The mouthpiece is fixed to the cheek with a "stack". The entire shank moves independently of the mouthpiece. The purchase is slightly angled away from the horse to avoid rubbing.
