Myler Bits Black 7 Shank MB03

The Myler Bits Black 7 Shank MB03 has a copper roller that can keep fidgety horses happy, and keeps some horses more content than other western bits. The curved mouthpiece makes more room for the horse's tongue under the bit. It is considered a mild western bit and is used with a curb strap to apply pressure to the mouth, chin, and poll.

It is attractive black shank is decorated with steel dots. It is considered a Myler Level One bit with a curved mouthpiece. The center mouth piece allows the bit to have independent side movement - each shank moves independently to encourage lateral flexion on one side without influencing the other side.

Black Steel 7" Seven Shank with Sweet Iron Comfort Snaffle with Copper Roller (MB 03, Level 1) Copper Inlay Mouth. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation.

The bars of the bit are curved so the bit wraps the bars and lips of the mouth instead of pinching them when it rotates on to the tongue.

The curve makes more room for the tongue under the bit.

The barrel distributes the pressure kindly on the tongue.

The seven shank cheek piece has a mild to moderate degree of leverage. The mouthpiece is fixed to the cheek with a "stack". The entire shank moves independently of the mouthpiece. The purchase is slightly angled away from the horse to avoid rubbing.
