EasyCare Easyboot Epics Hoof Boots
The EasyCare Easyboot Epic Hoof Boots have been given a major redesign. The Epic is the Easyboot 2005, with a gaiter, and since the 2005 Easyboot had been changed, in May 2012 after more than 40 years, these changes are also incorporated into the Epic.
EasyCare's results of checking and testing newer Easyboots models found that their success and dependability was partly based on the ergonomic tread design. So this new Easyboots tread on the Epics will grip over a wider range of surfaces. It also gives better frog support. The design of the tread is flexible with good depth and works great in shedding mud.
The forged buckle system is free of hard corners and sharp edges, it is low profile, with rounded cable adjustments. This system design prevents wear and tear on the cable, prolonging overall boot life.
Get the perfect fit - great range of buckle adjustments. There are 3 adjustment options, and 3 buckle settings.
The Easyboot Epic Hoof Boots are ideally suited for the barefoot horse, for muddy conditions, or for the horse that can be difficult to keep booted. The gaiter is attached to protect the hoof, and serves to keep out excess dirt and debris. This is a boot that you'd love to have for those extreme conditions - snow, mud, water crossings, and for natural hoof care, and those long-distance rides. The gaiter can be purchased separately. Just add to the plain Easyboot and you have an Epic!
This is a natural way to provide hoof protection, treatment, cushioning and correction, but still allows the horse to go barefoot otherwise. The fit is snug. They are light - lighter than steel plates, and will last much, much longer. Unlike steel shoes, if your horse sheds one on the trail, you can put it right back on!
Made from tough, durable, polyurethane. Available in sizes to fit most horses. All parts are replaceable. See Tech tab for sizing chart and more information.
NOTE: Larger sizes are an additional cost. Price will reflect in shopping cart.
How to get the correct size boot for your horse:
- Measure the width of the hoof across the bottom at the widest point.
- Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. The buttress line is the farthest weight bearing point of the heel.
- Compare your measurement with the proper size chart below.
- Ideally, the width and length measurement will fit into the same Easyboot Epic size. If the width and length measurements indicate different Easyboot Epic sizes, select the larger Easyboot Epic size. If the width and length measurements are different by more than one size, EasyCare hoof boots are not recommended.
