DP Saddlery Quantum Short and Light Western Saddles could be the last saddle you'll ever need to buy. For those who want a western saddle that shorter and lighter - this is it! It is unheard of, but it's a western saddle built on an English flexible tree!
These innovative saddles have an Ultra Flex Tree with a completely adjustable gullet. With a simple turn of the Allen Wrench, the gullet adjusts from narrow to extra wide, making it possible to fit many different horse's conformations. This makes it very easy to ride several horses in the same saddle, solves saddle fit problems, and can adjust to your horse as he gains or looses weight or muscle. Wool flocked panels are comfortable for horse and rider and can be traditionally re-flocked if ever needed or for a customized saddle fit.
Excellent choice for long trail rides, distance riding or endurance. This saddle has a soft padded seat.
Short base, light weight and wool flocked panels that can be restuffed by a saddle fitter when needed or to customize it to your horse. The short round base is also fabulous for fitting short backed horses.
Another feature unique to these saddles is the Ultra-Flex tree made of high quality carbon fiber, and the panels are attached only at the front and the back of the tree. This provides maximum comfort for the horse while turning and bending. It also eases the pressure normally applied to the spine, as the panels give slightly so that the spine doesn't have to.

How to Fit the DP Saddle Adjustable Gullet to your horse
Gullet Width The DP Saddles have a patented continuously adjustable gullet system, which allows the rider to easily narrow or widen the width by as much as necessary, or fine tune the fit by just a fraction of an inch via an Allen Wrench, without ever having to take the saddle apart. This system is adjustable from K1-K5 (compare to narrow through extra-wide), which is comparable to the Sprenger Measuring System for Withers Size 6 through Size 2.
