Barefoot "Save-My-Spine" Surcingles
Lunge without pressure to the withers!
Most surcingles apply a nutcracker-like pressure onto the
horse's withers, either to the sides or on top of the spinous processes.
Barefoot Saddlery of Germany has solved this problem: underneath the
Barefoot Surcingle the withers remains unrestricted and there is no pressure - neither onto
the withers nor along the sides. The supports on both sides are padded
softly and extra wide, so that muscles can develop without being
squeezed.
If additional padding is needed under the surcingle, consider the Barefoot Surcingle Pad - available on our sister website, Barefoot Saddles USA (see last image with pad attached).
Five sturdy rings are applied on both sides, so all auxiliary
reins, such as side-reins, can be attached, but also long-reins or
double lunging reins can be used in various positions.
The Barefoot Surcingle DOES NOT INCLUDE a girth. Use a dressage length girth that fits your horse or pony.
The Barefoot Surcingle is made from genuine, sturdy
leather, with a soft and adjusting underlay made from foam which is
covered by suede leather. The surcingle comes standard with a medium
inlay which fits most horse's backs. Additional inserts can be purchased
ranging from narrow to extra wide -
