Barefoot Bosal Noseband
This
Barefoot Bosal Noseband features a genuine braided rawhide noseband, and a leather core. Its traditional design intends for it to be used in conjunction with a mecate, as reins. The bosal replaces the noseband - this acts as a type of hackamore, primarily for more advanced horses, providing them with precision, mental collection and unity. Mainly it affects the nose, and when used in combination with the mecate on the neck (neck-reining), it will encourage your horse to keep his nose centered within the bosal ring.
Using this bosal as a bitless alternative has a recognizable positive effect on horses. A fact that is well recognized by western riders, but it has also been used in European rider jumping S-class. Rider, Jürgen Krackow uses the bosal to make the most of the horse-friendly effect during training and is pushing for it to be allowed in European competitions.
Details on how to use the Bosal with mecate reins are provided with the item as instructions.
Size: The diameter where the horses nose fits in is 75 cm or 29.5"
The bosal is 2 cm thick, or 3/4 “.
